Kristin Lillquist Reeder is an attorney practicing in the areas of elder law, estate planning, probate and guardianships. Ms. Reeder received her undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina (cum laude), and her Juris Doctor degree (J.D.) from the University of Washington School of Law in 1999.
After graduating from UW Law, Ms. Reeder clerked for the Honorable George Bowden at Snohomish County Superior Court. She assisted Judge Bowden with his legal analysis of both civil and criminal issues and with his trial administration. After leaving the Court, she was employed as an associate attorney with the Lawless Partnership in the Ballard area of Seattle, WA, where she began her focus on elder law, estate planning, probate, and guardianship. In 2004, she started her own law practice in Bellevue, Washington.
Ms. Reeder is a former board member of the Washington State chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (WAELA), and a past board member of the Northwest Senior Center in Seattle.
She is a member of the Washington State and King County Bar Associations, the Washington State Bar Association Elder Law Section, the Washington State Real Property, Probate & Trust Section and the King County Title 11 Guardian ad Litem Registry. She has been voted a “Rising Star” attorney through Washington Law and Politics magazine several times.
Ms. Reeder currently volunteers for the Kent Elder Law Clinic through the King County Neighborhood Legal clinics and also handles cases pro bono (free of charge) through the King County Bar Association Volunteer Legal Services program. She is also a frequent speaker on elder law and estate planning issues and has taught legal seminars at many local parenting groups, senior centers and hospitals including Swedish Medical Center, Providence Hospital and Overlake Hospital. She also educates fellow attorneys, accountants and financial planners on long term care issues and has spoken numerous times for National Business Institute (NBI) in their continuing education programs.
Reeder is married to Jeff Reeder and considers the parenting of her
two sons, David and Joshua, to be one of her most important jobs.
Sherrie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Missouri, and graduated with honors from the Paralegal Education Program at Edmonds Community College where she earned an Advanced Paralegal Certificate..
